Here we are! 80 degrees today and in the pool at my Mom's house - got sunburns too! Sorry, had to do it! All is well here. Jim went to the Dermo with Dad last Tuesday - Basal Cell on side of the head about the size of a half dollar. 7 internal stitches; 19 external. Will have the stitches out this Tuesday. Then they were off to the Vascular DR - right leg is OK; found a new clot under the knee in the left leg. Estimate approx 50% blockage so they have decided they cannot do remedial with the veins in that leg because of the clot. No pain just a little swelling. For now, Dad will have to deal with the bruising at the bottom of the leg due to the vein malfunction. They want Dad back in 3 months for another sonogram to see if the clot is still there. Because he is already on cumadin, this center does not recommend any further treatment, which "I think is crap" (per Jim who is sitting next to me dictating as I type!). "I think we should get a second opinion from a vascular surgeon. This should be discussed." Spring is here! We know that because we are getting daily shit storms from the robins and the citrus is in bloom - lovely perfume(not from the robins!!) There will be boxes of lemons going next week to those of you less fortunate:) ENJOY!! Love, Me & Jimmy
ReplyDeleteYay!speaking of shit storms, I don't see many birds here cept' the winter rezs but I did see a Robin the other day, maybe a dumb one...tomorrow should be an icy crappy morning oh joy...YES...whether I post or comment...you should get that via e-mail...I am writing on the blog now , and am replying to your comment. I was not sure what e-mail was good for you, since Jim had changed his...I agree with y'all, can we find a hospital that is not dedicated to giving up on the elderly in FLA? ...c'mon there has to be one...SECOND opinion vs. doing NOTHING and waiting for three months with a clot...hmmm let's see ...yeah. I vote second opinion...at a non-elderly facility!!! Easy for mr to say that's why I sent you a present... :O)
